I’m off to Northallerton tomorrow afternoon to the launch party of the inaugural Joe Cornish Gallery Photography Summer Open Exhibition. I entered two of my photographs and won a bronze award for one of them! If you are near the area, get yourself along to the gallery to see the selected works. For the whole of the summer you can see my latest work upstairs at the Wave Gallery on New Street, Robin Hood’s Bay. It is a joint exhibition with my good friend, Sue Webster, who is also a photographer based in Robin Hood’s Bay.
It’s show time again! I am having a busy summer so far. Next up I am taking part in a joint exhibition of work by a selection of artists who were in the Open Studios this year at the Pannett Art Gallery in Whitby. The show runs from Wednesday 6th July to Sunday 17th July and there are three of my photographs and a good mix of other artists’ work to see. Pop along if you are in town.
This is the first time that I have taken part in the North Yorkshire Open Studios and I am really looking forward to it! I will be at the Station Waiting Rooms, Station Road, in Robin Hood’s Bay.
I’m sharing the venue with two friends — Sue Webster and Lynne Wixon — so you get ‘three for the price of one’! Lynne is a painter and Sue, like myself, in a fine art photographer.
We are open 10:30 am – 5:30 pm over two consecutive weekends: Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of June, and Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June.
We are also having a preview on Friday evening, between 7 and 9pm if you fancy coming along.
